Tooltip

The Tooltip card controls the hover tooltip of the radar.

The radar uses the native Power BI tooltip, so it inherits the report theme and honours report page tooltips configured at the report level.

Hover targets

The tooltip is triggered by an invisible circle centred on each vertex, slightly wider than the marker itself. It works whether or not Show Markers is on in the Radar card — hiding the markers hides the dots, not the tooltip.

Markers and cross-filtering

Cross-filtering, on the other hand, does depend on the markers: clicking a vertex to filter the rest of the report requires Show Markers to be on, since the marker is the click target.

Each tooltip lists, in order:

1. The axis name, as the header
2. The series name and its value on that axis, in the series color
3. The Base, when the Base field well is filled
4. Any measure dropped in the Tooltips field well

Values are formatted with the Display Units and Decimals chosen in the Data Labels card, so the tooltip and the printed labels always agree — even when the labels themselves are hidden.
