Percentages are always shares of the series total — on a grid of small multiples each chart is its own 100 %, and on concentric rings each ring is its own 100 %.
Placement
| Setting | Behaviour |
|---|---|
| Inside | Labels sit in the middle of the ring band |
| Outside | Labels sit past the outer edge, with an optional leader line |
| Auto | Inside when the label fits the arc, pushed outside when it does not |
Auto measures each label against the chord of its own arc, so a thin slice keeps its label instead of losing it — which is the difference between Auto and raising Hide below. Use Hide below to drop labels you do not want at all; use Auto to keep them and move them out of the way.
Automatic contrast
With Automatic contrast on, an inside label is drawn in black or white depending on the luminance of the slice it sits on, and an outside label is drawn in dark grey against the report background. Turn it off to force a single Text Color everywhere.
